You simply use a socket and allow it to press the cup in. The install tool is really the break through since you don't have to hammer on it in tight spaces and hope your cup is seated. This means you don't have to remove your rocker arms allowing for a faster overall job. Both the puller and installing tool use bridges that are quickly fastened to the injector mounting holes. RRD utilized the latest in metallurgical technology which allows the removal tool to thread into the damaged injector cup without creating any filings or chips to fall into your cylinders. This is why RRD designed their tools with tight clearances, and clean injector bores in mind. RRD believes removing and installing the injector cups should be a surgical operation, not something requiring beating cups in with hammers and leaving brass filings from removing. Unlike the other cup tools on the market the RRD design is engineered towards repeated use. Use of power tools can cause damage to these tools in which you will forfeit your deposit. Rental includes a USPS return shipping label for our USA customers. We charge $75 per month to rent the tool which will be deducted from your deposit once you return the tool. We rent the 7.3 Powerstroke injector cup puller/installer for a $425 deposit.
